Sniff & Seek- Urban Searches: Starts October 4th @ 3:15 PM
4 Classes Total - 4 Hours @ $250.00
Ready to take your Sniff & Seek skills into the real world?
Urban Searches is designed for dogs who have already participated in Sniff & Seek and are ready for a bigger challenge. In this class, dogs will use their nose to search for their hider in more complex urban environments such as neighbourhoods, industrial areas, pathways, parking lots, and other real-life locations.
Urban environments introduce a whole new level of difficulty, including changing wind patterns, vehicle and pedestrian traffic, hard surfaces, intersecting scent trails, and countless environmental distractions. Dogs will learn to work through these challenges while handlers continue developing their ability to read their dog, support the search, and trust their dog’s nose.
Searches will gradually become longer and more complex, with different hiding locations and environments each week.
This class is all about building confidence, independence, teamwork, and giving your dog the chance to do what they do best—use their nose!
Prerequisite: Dogs must have previous Sniff & Seek experience and be comfortable completing basic searches before registering for Urban Searches.
